The Climb

We drive to Base Camp (5200meter) through Zhangmu, Nyalam and Xegar. Once reached at BC we precede our journey to Advance Base Camp (6400meter). All the gears and food up to Advance Base Camp will be carried by Yaks. We then established our camp at ABC. We trek to ABC through the moraine covered glacier.

We set our Camp I at North Col (7000meter) where one night will be spend for the purpose of acclimatization. We will be c
crossing a flat glacier to 2000 ft. steep snow covered slope with ceracs leading up to the col. The walk then descends to Advance Base Camp and rest for few days (2/3days). During this time the Camp II (7700meter) will have fixed. We then reach to Camp I and precede attempt to Camp II which is followed by the semi steep snow slope. Sometime it can be difficult to achieve due to bad weather and lack of acclimatization. You might descend back to Advance Base Camp if the case arise and again attempt to Camp II after having rest. After spending a night at Camp II we back to Advance Base Camp to stay there for rest.

Likewise, we will fix Camp III (8300meter). The ascent from Camp II to Camp III is up through low angled rock and shale. After a night spending at Camp III and proceed for summit attempt. The most important thing before leaving here is to make sure everything of you properly like strength, weather etc. Once make sure of everything you will head towards the summit.

The summit day is up a mixed snow covered channel to the ridge, then about 1.5km along the ridge on rock and snow. This section has two steps. One is straightforward and the other is the infamous 2nd step with the ladder. From the second step to the summit is approximately a 45-degree snow slope to the top.
