Detailed Royal Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Trek to Kalikastan
From Pokharaa an hour drive is required to reach Bijayapur River. The road trail starts in the rice fields near the Bijayapur army camp. It ascends through Rakhigaun to a resting place under a larger fig tree called Chautara. The trail further ascends through villages towards Kalikasthan at 1372m. Here views of Machapuchare and Annapurna can be observed.
Day 2: Trek to Syaglung
The trail follows forests through Thulokot to Mathi Thana with tea shops along the way. The trail ascends through Naudanda. The trek continues along the ridge to Lipyani village which further ascends to a Gurung village of Syaglung for overnight stay.
Day 3: Trek to Chisopani
The trail leads down south towards another Chautara. The Chautara acts as a trail junction with several tea shops and a police check post. This trek climbs towards Chisopani with a village at a high hill with a temple. The Chisopani ridge is excellent for mountain views.
Day 4: Trek to Begnas Bazaar
The Royal trail descends through stone steps into a small valley with a stream that leads to Rupa Lake. We continue through rice fields and ascend a ridge separating Begnas and Rupa Lake. We will descend along the ridge into Begnas Bazaar where a 30 minute drive will lead back to Pokhara.
