Detailed Rara Lake Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

After you arrive at the airport, you will be received by our representatives and taken to the hotel. After you check in, you will meet your travelling companions and a welcome dinner will be organized in the evening where you will be served with original Nepali cuisine and introduced to Nepali culture.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and preparation for trek

After having breakfast, you will be briefed about the composition of your team, travel equipment and nature and strategy of the trek. Then there will be a guided tour of the major landmarks and world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath and Bouddhanath. In the evening, there will be a pre talk before the trek and the last arrangement will be finished.

Day 3: Flight from Kathmandu to Jumla

In the morning after breakfast, we will head towards Jumla on a flight. Here, start your rara lake trek from kathmandu. After reaching Jumla, our very first trek towards Uthagaon begins. We will be following the trail along Chaudhabise River via Tila River to climb all the way to Uthagaon where we will be camping for the day.

Day 4: Uthagaon to Sinja khola

The trail begins up the ghurseni Khola following the Padmora Village (2900m) over the pass at 3400m and all the way down to the Sinja khola (2700m). We will be camping this day near the log bridge.

Day 5: Sinja to Ghorosingha

Decamping from Sinja town, we will be climbing a tough trail close to the Hima River from where we will climb on a lofty trail for some time followed by a similarly simple track until achieving Laha Community. From Laha, it is a precarious move up until Ghorosingha along Ghatte khola.

Day 6: Ghorosingha to Rara Lake

In the wake of completing our breakfast we will climb our trail along Chuchhemara Danda from where we snatch the fascinating Himalayan display, in addition to the gigantic and relieving Rara Lake with the luxurious vegetation of the Rara National Park.On the way to Rara lake, we will pass through Khattyar khola along Murma village from where the ascent gets easier to Chapri village which is situated at the Rara National Park Headquarter. Day 7: Explore Rara Lake

Day 10: Bumra to Jumla

We will continue our descent downhill crossing two suspension bridges. On the way, we pass across a hot spring where we can dip ourselves to refresh our tiring body. Then we will cross Danphe Lagna pass at 3691 m and along Charechaur to reach Jumla. We will be accommodated in a camp in Jumla. 

Day 11: Jumla to Kathmandu

After having Breakfast, we will head towards the Jumla Airport and take a flight to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj. When we reach Kathmandu, we will go to our hotel and get freshened up. In the afternoon, you can visit around Thamel area and buy some souvenir for your friends and relatives.In the evening, we will serve you a traditional Nepali dinner for the farewell gesture.
